Organization and Navigation¶

How the site is organized¶

We are a community, so the site is organized around the houses and residents. Within the requirements of the CC&Rs, a house can have one or more residents. Residents have the option to join this website to be active in the community. When you join the website, you are a member.

The purpose of the site is to have a central location for social activities in the community.

Navigating¶

Like most websites, navigation is done by clicking menu items in the navigation bar at the top, or buttons found on some forms. The Glenhaven logo (top left) is always a link back to the home page.

Home¶

The home page has three sections:

Announcements — messages entered by Admins to all members. Hidden if there are none.
Calendar — by week. Use the left and right arrows to move between weeks. Click the triangle next to the Calendar heading to hide the calendar.
Your personal events calendar — all upcoming events for any group you're a member of, from today onward.

Members¶

Lists all members. Initially sorted by Preferred name. Click Last to sort by last name, or Address to sort by abbreviated address. Click any member's name to see their detail page (including their photo, if they've provided one).

Groups¶

Shows all the groups that have been created. Click a group to see its members and admin(s).

Events¶

Shows all events any group has created. By default, only today and future events are shown.

Show Past — reveals past events. Useful for viewing photos that may have been taken at an event.
Events can be filtered by Type.
Click any event to see its detail.
An event with a people-group icon to the right has an RSVP requirement. Click the icon to see who has RSVPed.
An event with a photo icon has photos from that event.

Surveys¶

Surveys appear here as they're created and open for taking.

Me¶

This is where you RSVP, give feedback, set your Preferences, maintain your profile and photo, change your password, and log out. See My Profile for details.
