My Profile¶
The Me menu is your personal area of the site. From here you manage your profile, set preferences, change your password, and log out.
Preferences¶
Where you set personal preferences and join open groups.
- Once you join a group, you'll receive invites and notifications from that group and be able to RSVP as needed.
- Some groups are limited by capacity or require Group admin approval to join. Many are open.
- To leave a group, uncheck its box.
Profile¶
Your personal data and photo, yours to manage.
- Preferred name — how you like to be called. Often different from your given first name. All member lists use Preferred name.
- Photo — add a personal photo of your choice. It will display in the member listing card. It can be of you, or you and your significant other living in your home.
- Birth month and day — please enter so we can celebrate birthdays periodically.
- Username — what you entered when you signed up. Not editable, but shown for reference.
Tip
Please fill in all the fields — it helps the community connect with you.
Change Password¶
Allows you to change your password as needed. There is no scheduled requirement to change passwords.
Forgot Password¶
When trying to log in and you've forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password link at the bottom of the login form. You'll be asked for your email and sent a reset link. For security, the system compares the email you enter to the email in your profile.
Logout¶
Use Logout to be sure you've signed out — particularly on a device that isn't yours.
On your own phone, you don't need to log out (but you can any time). When you tap the icon on your home screen, or follow a link in any email from the site, the site will open and bypass the login if you've saved your credentials.
